HV Statistical Regulator

Statistical RegulatorThe Story
At the ETF 2017 in Denmark, Morgan Jones held a speech about “Amplifiers
for high efficiency loudspeakers”.
One part of the presentation was about the “Statistical Regulator” as an
excellent quiet and low noise regulator (see also in his book
“Valve Amplifiers – Fourth Edition” on pages 399 – 405, 418 – 419).
So my first “Statistical Regulator” is now on the bench for testing.

Constant Current Source CCS DN2540

The Story
A constant current source is used for the linear high-voltage regulator power supply unit. I couldn’t find a suitable CCS-board on the market, so I made one myself. To easily measure
the currents, I added measuring resistors and the option of replacing the trimmer with a
fixed resistor.
Another project is to replace the heavy anode choke with CCS if the measurement results and the hearing result are satisfactory.
